Human Touch WholeBody 7.1 Massage Chair Review
Time to dive into the detailed features of this massage chair recliner.
The WholeBody 7.1 is an upgraded version of an older model, the 5.1.
It has many improvements which makes it a solid choice.
The following are some of it’s best features.
Most Notable Features
3D FlexGlide Massage Technology
The most vital element of a great massage chair are the 3D rollers.
The 7.1 is made with the 3D FlexGlide Massage technology.
This means that the chair has 3D rollers that move up, down, and all over your back to provide you with a variety of massages.
This feature allows you to enjoy a seamless gliding massage without the pinching and friction commonly felt in regular massage chairs.
This 7.1 feature will give you relief in your aching muscles and joints specifically where you need it.
As the name suggests, it maps your back to target certain pain points to give you spot massages.
The chair gives you a choice of 6 points to choose from throughout your back.
This feature is ideal for those who suffer constantly from isolated pain points.
Patented Warm-Air Technology
Also known as the lumbar heat feature, the Human Touch WholeBody 7.1’s warm air technology uses heating elements that focus on your lumbar area.
This is designed to relax, soothe, and get your muscles ready for a deep-penetrating massage.
It also helps provide relief for persistent aches and pains in your lower back and hips.
CirQlation Figure Eight Technology
A patented technology from Human Touch, this feature uses paddles or impellers that massage your feet and calves in a figure-eight, wave-like motion.
This is ideal for boosting blood circulation from your feet up to your core.
I think this feature is particularly beneficial for anyone who spends all day on their feet, or who gets sore calves or calf cramps.
Five Auto-Massage Programs
The Human Touch WholeBody 7.1 massage chair offers 5 auto massage programs, including the following:
- Full – this will massage the whole of your body with a focus on your back, calves, and feet
- Upper – this will massage the upper region of your body with the rollers targeting the upper and lower back
- Lower – this will massage your calves and feet
- Relax – this is the mode that relaxes the body at a low-intensity level
- Sleep – another low-intensity mode if you plan to sleep after a massage
Each of these massage programs will run for a maximum of 15 minutes.
These modes are all fully controllable by the remote control.
In addition to the stand-out features mentioned above, the Human Touch 7.1 also has the following standard features:
Targeted Muscle Benefits
This massage chair offers three stationary massage techniques and one glide massage.
You can use these or a combination of these to create customized massages.
It also has:
- Range button that can adjust the vertical massage range.
- Position and Partial Glide features that target a specific area of your choice.
Retractable Foot and Calf Massager & Ottoman
The WholeBody 7.1 comes with a foot and calf massager, which, when not in use, can be converted into an ottoman to put your feet up on.
This means you can fully relax in this chair even when you’re not using the massage functions.
This also hides the foot holds when not in use, retaining the sleek and minimal design of the chair.
The 7.1 massage chair has a 55-degree swivel base that allows you to turn it to the tv, window, or anywhere else in the room that will allow you the most relaxing experience.
This massage is designed to look good in any corner of your home. It has three colour options to choose from.
It is made with Sofhyde, a luxurious and durable upholstery material made to replicate the feel of real leather.
The circular arm rest also gives it a sleek, modern feel.
Human Touch WholeBody 7.1: My Personal Opinion
At first glance I didn’t think I’d like the Human Touch WholeBody 7.1. It seemed to be a very basic, un-interesting massage recliner chair. How wrong I was!
First of all, the benefit of the WholeBody 7.1 is how slim it is. It doesn’t require lots of space like most other massage chairs on the market. It’s not chunky or obscure, and will easily blend in most furniture.
Despite it’s compact design, it really impressed me with how many features it still has. Lower back heat, body map, and even a foot and calf massager are all something I’d expect from a massive, $3k+ massage chair.
Instead, the WholeBody 7.1 manages to provide these features while still retaining it’s sleek look, and affordable price.
Of course, if you’re looking for all the bells and whistles of a luxury massage chair, such as bluetooth speakers, airbags and arm massage, the WholeBody isn’t for you.
I see the WholeBody as the perfect in-between option: Much better than a normal reclining chair, without being as overly cumbersome as a full massage chair.
I also think the price point of the WholeBody 7.1 makes it extremely good value.
As mentioned above, I’d expect to pay $3000 or more for the kind of massage that it provides.
If you’re looking for a good quality massage with heat, auto programs and body mapping, without wanting a cumbersome massage chair overtaking your living room, the WholeBody 7.1 is the one I’d recommend.
