We’ll do a quick review on this product, going through the pros and cons to make sure you have all the information.
3 reasons why you should buy this chair
- It’s easy to assemble. This will likely be used by older people so it’s nice that its easy to assemble. It comes with only a handful of pieces and its constructed well that it all connects together intuitively.
- its comfortable. covered in soft-to-touch plush, this chair has a wide base that makes you want to lounge it in.
- Soothing massage functions. The massage isn’t super strong and it gives you that comfortable soothing feeling, rather than an intensive deep tissue massage. The heat works really nicely to the point where it might be more enjoyable to just have the heat on and relax.
Features and Benefits
- Dimensions: 36 inches (Width), 38.5 inches (Depth / Length), 39.5 inches (Height)
One of the first thing you notice about this recliner is that it’s made from microfiber plush. Typically we see more faux leather upholstery. It’s a personal preference but I enjoy the plush, it’s more comforting than a tacky PU leather surface. It’s also easy to clean with a damp cloth and doesn’t leave fuzzes on your clothing. Like other chairs, the backrest and armrest contains most of the foam and it’s quite dense.
There is only one side pocket on the right-hand side where one would typically put the remote. One area of improvement is more storage space. Often times, these chairs becomes our de facto place to chill so it makes sense to have more storage for things like computer accessories, magazines, and books.
The remote is simple. It has an LED display at the top to show the timer. Beneath that are buttons that toggle the massagers that are located in the leg, thigh, lumbar, and back. There are 5 intensity option and 9 massage modes. A 10, 20, or 30 minutes timer gives you the control to fit a relaxation that fits your schedule. The auto button will automatically put the chair in mode 1, intensity 1 for 18 minutes. This is especially nice for those buying this for elderly folks, so they don’t have to fumble through manuals to figure out what does what.
Beneath the left arm rest there are two USB charging ports. This is a great option for charging your phones while relaxing on this chair. Let’s be honest, you’ll probably be using your phone a lot while on this chair!
The black palm-sized latch is placed nicely right beneath the arm rest so that you can recline and open up the leg rest with ease. We’ve seen the latch places farther away (which is inconvenient) and seen it even inside next to the seat cushion (awkward).
One drawback to this chair is that the leg rest requires a little bit of effort to lock back into place. The customer service team at RelaxZen have recommended removing one of the spiral springs underneath the chair to make it easier.
This chair is very easy to assemble. It comes with a two arm pieces, a base, and some electrical parts.
The massage motors are not loud. The vibrations are soft so rest assured you can relax and even fall asleep in it. Had it been loud, it certainly would of been a deal breaker for me.
Overall, this is a great massage recliner chair for you or your loved ones. It’s got moderately good massage functions and is really comfortable. It’s also stylish and great for family settings.
