truMedic instaShiatsu Massage Chair Review: My honest thoughts

I’ve been reviewing a ton of massage chairs lately.

I’ve come across a company passionate about holistic medicine. They specialize in safe pain management and stress relief.

Of course, I’m talking about the one and only: truMedic.

We’ll review the truMedic Instashiatsu+ MC-2000 and MC-1000 chair models today.

We’ve spent considerable time researching and analyzing to bring you forth our review so you can make the right decision!

Let’s get started.

truMedic Instashiatsu Massage Chair + MC-2000

Unlike other competitors chairs, truMedic isn’t so focused on every single spec a chair can have. Instead, their focus is on making you feel relaxed and comfortable.

The MC-2000 is especially ergonomic. It follows the curvature of your spine to provide maximum comfort. The roller mechanisms are 3 dimensional, which means they can go up and down, side to side, and in and out.

There are acupuncture functionality built into the machine. This means things like the foot rollers and the arm massage has special design specifically made to target those points.

There are heating pads throughout the chair and this is great for relaxing those muscle, easing them up so the rollers can provide a deeper massage.

The sliding functionality of the chair allows users to move the backrest and seat forward and backwards in the range of 4 inches. This is great for those who need more control over their space.

There is Bluetooth capability so you can connect to your iPhone or Android devices. Listen to your favorite relaxing tunes while receiving a soothing massage.

The full-body air pressure bags provide air compression massages to supplement the rollers. They are located everywhere throughout the chair and do a great job of compressing, stretching, and gripping your muscles.

The high-resolution LCD remote control is intuitive and great for customizing the massage experience.

The MC-2000 was focused on ergonomics, the MC-1000 is focused on customization. It’s also a beautiful looking chair that fits well in the living room.

Choose between several massage techniques: kneading, shiatsu, pressing, knocking, and tapping to bring relief to your body.

I liked that you can shift the seat, backrest, and the leg rest in small increments so you can find the perfect position that works for you. The leg rest can extend up to 8 inches to accommodate individuals of all height.

The acupuncture point tracking technology is a body scan that will adjust the rollers to the users size and shape. This is great because everyone is shaped differently and enjoys a massage differently.

Zero gravity levels your body across the horizontal plane, giving stress-loaded parts of your body a break like the spine. The zero gravity features in the MC-1000 makes you feel like you’re floating in space.

The air compression massage and foot rollers work together to provide a strong foot massage. There are certain protrusions on the foot rollers that help target pressure points on the feet.

One improvement I see in this mode is that there is no heat. If you enjoy a heated massage consider getting the MC-2000. Also, the leg extension requires force as it does not retain the level it’s set at.

What customers are saying

Customers are saying that the massage rollers feel like real elbows rolling along your back. They say that the arm massage is light but really good.

They feel very comfortable like in a pod or in a womb. truMedic’s focus of comfort and therapeutic service is at play here.

Warranty

truMedic’s chairs come with a 2 year warranty from the date of purchase. It covers defects in materials workmanship under normal use. If a defect is detected and the claim is found valid, they will either repair it, replace it, or credit you the original purchase of the chair.
